We Love Kindergarten!!!

September has been a fantastic month in our classroom. We have been playing and learning a lot. We are sure loving being in kindergarten!

Here we are on our first day of school. We are learning how to use crayons and scissors. It is a lot harder than you think. But we never give up! We keep on trying!

In kindergarten, we learn the most when we are playing!

We learned about heroes. Terry Fox is our hero! We walked for him. We are actually very happy, just cold.

Healthy snacks = Healthy minds

We read Dr. Seuss' Ten Apples Up On Top. We tried putting ten apples on top of our heads too. We barely got one on top but it was fun. Then we met our friend Mat Man who taught us how to draw ourselves using shapes. Look at these amazing artists we have in our room!

God is our role model! He asked us to love one another as he loved us. Here is out cross we made as a promise to love each other.

We sorted out pasta in to color groups. Then we traced our names with glue and stuck pasta to them. These are the beautiful creations we made!

We are laying on the floor but we are not sleeping. We are writing! We learned that laying on our bellies when printing and drawing helps to build strength in our upper arms and core. This strength helps us to be better writers.

Do you know what an Apple-Cano is? We do! The best part of this experiment was the smiles on the kids' faces as the Apple-Cano erupted. It was so cool!

In kindergarten we learn how to show kindness. We celebrated Orange Shirt Day, a national day to remember all those who suffered in residential schools.
